Atlas Copco Nigeria has been established since 2009 with offices in Lagos and Port Harcourt. The Customer Center employs around 50 people and represents two Business Areas - Compressor Technique and Power Technique.

Atlas Copco is an OEM in the emerging Alternative Energy Space. We Design, Supply, Install, Service, and Maintain, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fueling systems. We have a network of customer throughout the nation that we offer technical support to.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Field Service Engineer / Technician

Location: Nigeria

Your role

  • Your mission as the Field Service Engineer- GPP is to provide expert repair services for our technology solutions, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety.
  • You are committed to ensuring the performance and longevity of your customers technology through your expertise.
  • Your work is important for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries relying on these technologies.

You will

  • Report into the Operations Manager.
  • Responsible for the service after the sale, performing field related preventative and routine repairs on all CNG processing equipment (Compressor, PRS, Dryer, pumps, valves, meters ,rotating equipment etc.).
  • Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various technical systems. You will also diagnose any issues to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
  • Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.

To succeed, you will need

  • HND or B.Sc Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working on natural gas compressors.
  • Able to interpret wiring, tubing, and structural drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in diagnosing, repair of NG/CNG, equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong mechanical background combined with electronics as well as knowledge of pneumatics.
  • PLC troubleshooting and basic knowledge of PLC programing.
