Job Title: Financial Analyst

Reports to: Managing Director

Objective / Purpose of Job

This is a junior role that supports the CEO to research new business opportunities across industries including financial services, energy, marine, and technology.
The incumbent will be responsible for researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data related to markets, finance, economics, and customers in various sectors.

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform qualitative and quantitative research.
Keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry and related sectors being researched.
Prepare financial forecasts/business plans.
Use Excel functions to organize and analyze data.
Create charts, graphs, and presentations for leadership teams.
Identify trends and make recommendations write Information Memoranda and Investment Teasers
Analyze and interpret financial data.
Prepare reports based on data analysis.
Evaluate investment opportunities.

Education / Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements

Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / MSc with 5 - 10 years relevant work experience.
High attention to detail

Reliable
Ability to distill large amounts of information into specific takeaways.
Strong ability to create financial models, including company valuations (DCF/ P/E etc.)
Strong writing and communication skills
5+ years in a financial analyst/research role in an Investment House or Accounting Firm
Strong ability to analyze financial data.
Strong numeral skills
