Prosperity Microfinance Bank Nigeria Limited (PMBank) is a Microfinance Bank incorporated in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in March 2005 under the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act CAP C20 LFN 2004 with registration number RC 620230 and commenced operations on 10th October 2005. It is licensed to carry on the business of microfinance banking by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Credit and Marketing

Location: Ugbowor, Benin - Edo

Job Description

• The Head of Credit and Marketing is responsible for overseeing the bank’s credit operations and driving business growth through strategic marketing initiatives.
• The role ensures sound credit risk management, portfolio quality, and customer acquisition in alignment with the bank’s mission of financial inclusion and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Credit Management:

• Develop, implement, and enforce credit policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks.
• Coordinate credit committee activities and provide periodic reports to management/Board.
• Ensure compliance with CBN, NDIC, and internal regulatory standards.
• Supervise loan appraisal, approval, disbursement, monitoring, and recovery.
• Maintain portfolio quality and ensure reduction of non-performing loans (NPLs).

Marketing & Business Development:

• Design and execute marketing strategies to grow the customer base and increase deposit mobilization.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, community groups, and stakeholders.
• Develop marketing campaigns, including the use of digital platforms and creative materials (graphic design skills will be an added advantage).
• Promote the bank’s loan products, savings schemes, and financial services.
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and design innovative financial products.

Leadership & Strategy:

• Lead and mentor the credit and marketing teams to achieve performance targets.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Contribute to the bank’s strategic planning and long-term growth objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Marketing.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk management, loan administration, and banking regulations.
• Proven track record in business development, deposit mobilization, and customer acquisition.
• Proficiency in graphic design and digital marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, CorelDRAW) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 7–10 years’ progressive experience in credit and/or marketing within the microfinance or banking sector, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Professional certifications (CIBN, ACIB, ICAN, ACCA, CIM, etc.) are an added advantage.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 / month
