Job Title: Head of Health & Safety Compliance

Location: Asokoro, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Health & Safety Compliance to lead the organization’s health and safety strategy and ensure full compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and internal standards.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing robust safety systems, promoting a strong safety culture, and minimizing workplace risks across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the organization’s health and safety compliance framework
  • Ensure compliance with national and international health and safety legislation and standards
  • Advise senior management on health and safety risks, obligations, and best practices
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the health and safety team
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through training, awareness, and engagement initiatives.
  • Lead safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all sites and operations
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective and preventive actions
  • Establish and monitor health and safety KPIs and performance reports

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to safety excellence
  • Proven experience in a senior health and safety leadership or compliance role
  • In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and standards (e.g., ISO 45001)

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent
  • Experience in the Hospitality Industry
  • Experience managing multi-site or large-scale operations.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 / month.
