Workforce Group - Our client, a leading battery recycling company, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Officer

Organizational Relationship: Reports to HSE Manager

Summary of Duties
The HSE Officer will be responsible for:

• Incident management – Respond, investigate, and prepare incident report
• Risk identification and assessments – conduct job hazard analyses and risk assessments, develop and monitor implementation of risk controls
• Worker Safety – Monitor industrial hygiene and health, ensure good housekeeping, conduct planned and unplanned inspections, manage safety and emergency equipment, enforce safe work procedures such as permit to work, lock-out-tag-out and safe material handling, implementing emergency drills and emergency procedures.
• Safety Communication – Engage workers on HSE issues and encourage participation, facilitate toolbox talks, inductions, and trainings, develop HSE plans and implement safety programs, maintain safety signage and notices.
• Reporting – prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual HSE performance reports, present findings to safety committee, monitor implementation and closure of action items.
• Environmental monitoring – track emission levels and prepare internal reports, manage incident investigations, ensure proper housekeeping and waste management.
• Compliance management – Facilitate compliance with HSE policies and guidelines, review policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements, renew HSE permits, update legal register with new or revised standards, liaise with regulatory agencies on all HSE matters.

Requirements

• Educational Degree: Bachelor’s
• Years of Experience 4+
• Others: ISPON, NEBOSH, ISO as an added advantage, Experience in developing and implementing a HSE Management System, must be self-motivated and results oriented.

Salary Range
N200,000 – N300,000 monthly gross
