We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Officer
Location: Sango Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. 
• Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop preventative strategies.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicate health, safety, and environmental information to employees and stakeholders.
• Monitoring and Auditing: Monitor and audit health, safety, and environmental performance.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of health, safety, and environmental incidents, audits, and training. 
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.
• Liaison with Clients: Liaise with clients on safety-related issues.
• Completing and Reviewing Risk Assessments: Complete and review risk assessments and COSHH assessments (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health). 
• Monitoring Legislation: Monitor, evaluate, and review existing, new, and upcoming health and safety legislation and ensure the business has systems, policies, and practices in place to meet legal compliance.
• Safety-Related Engineering Input: Provide safety-related engineering input into new projects and modification programs.
• Participate in HAZOP Meetings: Participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) meetings prior to procurement and installation activities. 
• Managing Day-to-Day Health and Safety Matters: Manage the day-to-day health and safety matters on site. 
• Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs to employees on health, safety, and environmental issues.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
• Environmental Management: Implement and monitor environmental management systems and procedures.

• Candidates should possess relevant qualifications.

Salary
N140,000 Monthly.
