Job Title: Implementation Engineer

Location: Lagos

About the Job

  • Development of Android payment application on Point of Sale terminals

Responsibilities

  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
  • Identify and fix bugs while continuously improving application performance.
  • Continuously research, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Work with external data sources and APIs.
  • Conduct unit testing to ensure robustness, covering edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

Requirements
Academic Qualification(s):

  • Candidates should possess a BS / MS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 3-4 Years of experience.

Professional Qualification(s):

  • Proven software development experience with Android and POS terminals.
  • Experience publishing or deploying production-ready POS/payment applications.
  • Strong experience with the Android SDK and POS device integrations.
  • Working knowledge of PCI-DSS, EMVCo, and scheme certification requirements.
  • Knowledge of mobile and POS hardware architectures (NFC, card readers, PIN pads).
  • Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Proficiency in Java and Kotlin for Android development.
  • Experience with Android frameworks such as Jetpack, Retrofit, and Dagger/Hilt.
  • Hands-on experience working with EMV payment flows, APDU commands, and ISO 8583 messaging.
  • Experience integrating EMV kernels, payment SDKs, and third-party APIs.
  • Demonstrated expertise with EFT/POS payment systems.
