The Oiltest Group is a group of companies based in Nigeria providing oilfield services to oil producing companies among other services. The Group currently has only one operational office located in Port Harcourt while it has a liaison office in Lagos. Its corporate Headquarters is located at Plot 312 Danjuma Drive, Trans Amadi Industrial Layout, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The parent company - Oiltest, as a fully indigenous organization commenced operations in 1992.

The company started with activities including fluid sampling, production testing, electronic data acquisition, slickline services, and PVT laboratory services. By 1999, Oiltest had expanded its range of services to include well analysis services, coiled tubing & nitrogen services. In 2005, it added filtration services. Also by entering into strategic alliances, Oiltest is also able to provide Permanent downhole gauges services, completion tools & accessories.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Information Technology Engineer

Key Tasks

• Support and maintain the existing network topology in the office which includes both the hardware and software running on the systems.
• Be part of the team for installation of new hardware and troubleshooting and defining the connectivity to the office network.
• General Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of systems,( computers, Scanners, Printers etc)
• Setting up of LAN & WAN.
• Diagnosis of failed hardware components, replacements, maintenance and upgrade.
• Assembling of server components, diagnosis of hardware related issues, and configuration for network redundancy.
• Responsible for the installation and maintenance of communication links for the Pc and printer connected to it.
• Configuring Emails for staff use and taking their backups and installing any software needed.
• Troubleshooting Servers and Network related problems.
• Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports as the case may be.

Skills / Experience / Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar field.
• Minimum of 3 years general I.T work experience.
• Previous experience in I.T support is mandatory.
• Possession of applicable certifications will also be an added advantage.

• The right Candidate will need proven technical expertise in Microsoft applications and operating systems, the ability to communicate clearly and positively, an efficient approach and a willingness to support others.
