We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Instrumentation systems for oil and gas metering systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop instrumentation systems for custody transfer and allocation metering. 
• Supervise the installation and commissioning of flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, and control systems. 
• Work closely with calibration technicians and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration. 
• Perform instrument loop checking and troubleshooting during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases. 
• Provide technical support during audits, inspections, and client reviews. 
• Ensure metering systems comply with OIML, AGA, API, and ISO standards. 
• Prepare technical documentation, including P&IDs, control philosophies, and instrument datasheets. 
• Stay updated with advancements in metering and instrumentation technologies. 

Requirements

• B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field. 
• Familiarity with PLC/DCS systems, SCADA, HART, Foundation Fieldbus. 
• Strong knowledge of ATEX, IECEx, and hazardous area classifications. 
• Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills.
• 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector with specialisation in 
• instrumentation and metering.
