Job Title: Internal Auditor

Location: Iyana Ipaja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Industry: FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods)
Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday

Job Summary

• We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team in the FMCG industry.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing recommendations to improve financial and operational efficiency.
• This role is critical to maintaining transparency, integrity, and accountability within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic internal audits of financial and operational processes
• Review and assess the effectiveness of internal control systems
• Review inventory processes and participate in physical stock counts
• Detect and report fraudulent activities, financial discrepancies, or policy breaches
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
• Maintain proper documentation of audit activities and findings.
• Identify risks, weaknesses, or irregularities in processes and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations
• Prepare and present detailed audit reports to management
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective actions

Requirements and Qualifications

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
• Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in internal auditing, preferably in the FMCG sector
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CIA is required
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and audit procedures
• Proficiency in audit tools, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)

Salary
N350,000 monthly.
