Our client, a Food Processing/Manufacturing and Distribution company in Nigeria seeks the services of the following personnel in their Uyo Outlet: Job Title:  Operations/Production Manager Location: Uyo,Akwa Ibom State Job Description o Effectively manage and oversee operations/production processes o Propose and initiate process improvement for service optimization. o Decide and request for resources needed for production o Be responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment o Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programmes o liaise among different departments, e.g. suppliers of machineries, managers o work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals o Render timely reports for key decision making. o ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed; o supervise, motivate and seldom employ a team of workers; o review worker performance; o Identify training needs. o Ability to source needed information and machines using the web o Ability to work alone unsupervised Requirements o A graduate of any discipline with working experience in production operations (such as capping, grinding, sealing, filling and packaging machines). o Minimum of 5 years work experience in production or related assignment. o Planning and organisation skills to be able run and monitor the production process; o The ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems; o The capacity to grasp concepts easily; o ICT literacy to deal with various technologies and programmes; o Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality; o The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers and clients; o Strong negotiation skills for getting materials within budget and at the right time; o The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines; o The ability to work in a logical, systematic manner.
