Kaduna State Government 2014/2015 Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Indigenes

The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero (Dallatun Zazzau) has approved the establishment of an overseas scholarship scheme with the objective of enhancing human capital development, job creation and general development of the State.
The scheme is aimed at raising the skills and competencies of Indigenes of the State in some critical areas of Medical sciences, Engineering as well as Applied and Natural sciences. In pursuance to this, applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates of Kaduna State origin for selection in the 2014/2015 overseas scholarship programme.

A. Fields of Study
Postgraduate: (Ph.D and MS.c) in the following areas:

• Medical Sciences
• Engineering
• Natural and Applied Sciences

B. Undergraduate:
MBBS

Basic Requirements For The Award of Scholarship:
Postgraduate Scholarship at Ph.D

Level: Applicants must hold a Masters
Degree and must not be above 40 years of
age.
Postgraduate Scholarship at MS.c

Level: Applicants must hold first Degree with minimum of 2nd Class (Honours) or equivalent and must not be above 35 years of age.

C. Undergraduate (MBBS):
Applicants must possess minimum entry requirement apphcable for MBBS programme in a recognized university.

General Requirements:

• Candidate must be an indigene of Kaduna State.
• For Postgraduate programmes, candidate must possess NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
