We are recruiting to fill the positions below:     Job Title: Warehouse/Logistics Officer Location: Lagos Job Purpose

  • To provide business support to the operations group; management of the warehouse & store activities in line with prevailing best practices, liaising with the company’s authorized clearing agents and general local logistics on customers’ orders in a timely and efficient manner, for enhancing the group’s ability to meet the company’s’ goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities
  • Receive, store, monitor and retrieval of goods and materials stored in line with the standard operative process manual and best storekeeping practices.
  • Establish set standards and methods for packaging and storing of supplies and materials.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly stock movement to Accounts department.
  • Prepare and submit stocks reports to Line Manager in the agreed format and agreed frequency.
  • Ensure that consignments received are confirmed against packing lists, and dispatched to customer’s premises as agreed with relevant department.
  • Management of storage condition, goods stock inventories, goods lot tracking practices and management of shelf life to avoid expiration before sales and delivery.
  • Liaising with authorized clearing agents to ensure that shipments are cleared out of port and delivered to customers within stipulated time frames.
  • Reviewing shipping documents with clearing agents and liaising with Customs / Inspection Agencies to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare goods for domestic shipment upon receipt of appropriate authorized documentation. Timely escalation to Line Manager, issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the Line Manager, from time to time, in the course of work and in furtherance of the Company’s strategic objectives.
Minimum Qualification
  • Tertiary qualification (B.Sc. /B. Tech. /B.Eng. -2.1 /H.N.D - UPPER CREDIT) in Warehousing, Storage & Logistics
Experience:
  • 3-4 years of cognate work experience in Inventory & Logistics Mgt (stocking of chemicals and laboratory equipment an added advantage)
Knowledge, Skills & Attitude:
  • Knowledge of method & procedures related to the receipt, storage and requisition of stock.
  • Experience in working with a mainstream Accounting Package such as Peachtree®
  • Knowledge of safety precautions applicable to storage facilities (especially Chemical/Scientific Equipment handling)
Key knowledge:

      Job Title: Claims Officer Location: Lagos Job Description
  • Undertake physical inspection of reported claims; analyze claims data and policy documents to determine the extent of the company’s liability.
Job Responsibilities
  • Register notification of claims into claims Register, open file and allocate claim number
  • Extract relevant information on the risks covered from the underwriting file and document such in the claims file
  • Acknowledge claim notification and request for claims substantiating document from claimant/broker to ensure accurate and complete information on claims.
  • Book appointment with claimants/brokers to arrange for physical inspection of claims
  • Undertake physical inspection and investigation to ascertain validity of report claims
  • Write report on inspection and investigation containing findings and recommendation for minimizing effect of claims settlement on the company
  • Interpret policy wording, analyse and adjust claims to determine the extent of company’s liability and make recommendations to the Team Leader
  • Raise credit note on claimant where premium outstanding
  • Follow-up and collect recoveries and salvage from negligent third party or insurer to reduce claims outlay before cheques for payment are released
  • Prepare cheque requisition to pay claimants, co-insurers, solicitors and other professionals
  • Verify correctness of values on claims cheque and dispatch to claimant/broker
  • Register all approved claims cheques into Settled claims Register
  • Send copies of loss adjusters reports to co-insurers and collate opinions on their recommendations.
  • Any other duty as assigned by Unit Head.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum qualification of HND
  • Must have 3 years experience in similar role.
Key Competence Knowledge:
  • Basic Knowledge of the Insurance business and personnel practices
  • Business Ethics
      Job Title: Life Underwriting Officer Location: Lagos Job Objectives
  • Quotation: Prompt processing of quotes. This could be on broking slip or schedule or any other document
  • New Businesses: Registration of new businesses, preparation of policy document with all supporting documents
  • Renewals: Sending out of renewal notices; preparation of endorsement, preparation of life assurance premium certificates
  • Processing of due payments e.g. commission, medical fees, co-assurers cheques, e.t. c.
  • Updating/Maintaining Applicable Registers for both regulatory and office usage
  • Preparation of reports – weekly and as will be required
  • Prompt response to emails
  • Adherence to teams SLA or operational manual
  • Backing up for other sub-units when necessary e,g, payouts, group, e,t,c,
Job Requirements
  • First Degree (i.e. HND/B.Sc/B.Ed/B.A/e.t.c)
  • Years of experience: 1 year minimum in similar role.
Job Knowledge:
  • Basic Knowledge of Common Business Ethics & Practices
  • Basic knowledge of the usage of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of Arithmetic.
