We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Marketing & PR Manager

Location: Lagos (Onsite)
Reports to: Head of Marketing

Job Summary

• Opay is looking for an experienced and strategic PR Manager to lead our public relations efforts and strengthen the company’s brand image across Nigeria.
• The ideal candidate will have strong media relationships, excellent storytelling skills, and a deep understanding of both traditional and digital PR tactics to amplify Opay’s voice and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PR strategies aligned with Opay’s brand and business goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with marketing, legal, and leadership teams to manage brand reputation.
• Monitor media trends, track coverage, and report on PR campaign performance.
• Organize press events, interviews, and speaking opportunities for executives.
• Write and manage press releases, speeches, media briefs, and crisis communications.
• Lead proactive and reactive media outreach to ensure consistent, positive brand coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in PR or communications, preferably in fintech or fast-paced industries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
• Strong media network and proven track record of successful PR campaigns.
