Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Summary

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of mechanical equipment to ensure reliable operation, minimize breakdowns and reduce downtime.
The role requires practical pipe welding skills, primarily for equipment-related piping works.

Responsibilties

Equipment Installation and Commissioning: Install mechanical equipment according to manuals, technical drawings and specifications; commission equipment to ensure proper operation.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to reduce equipment failures.
Pipe Welding and Piping Support: Perform stainless steel pipe welding for equipment installation, modification and repair; carry out cutting, fitting and welding of pipes, elbows and flanges. TIG welding is the primary method, with SMAW used when required.
Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, lubrication, cleaning and adjustments; replace worn or damaged parts.
Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose equipment faults, identify root causes and carry out repairs.
