Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time 

Job Description 

• Carry out preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on pumps, compressors, valves, LPG loading arms, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate mechanical maintenance records, service logs, and spare parts usage.
• Support the Mechanical Engineer in planning maintenance schedules and executing shutdowns/turnarounds.
• Report equipment anomalies and potential risks immediately to prevent operational hazards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical reliability and asset integrity.
• Adhere strictly to safety rules, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and safe work practices
• Assist in mechanical installations, equipment alignment, calibration, and commissioning.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with HSEQ standards, permit-to-work (PTW) procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment performance, vibration levels, lubrication, and alignment.

Qualifications 

• Degree in Applied Sciences, Engineering  or related field.
• Relevant certifications and Experience in laboratory operations.
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 7 years
