Job Summary

  • The Operations Manager role is responsible for driving the bank's operational efficiency, innovation, and service excellence while ensuring regulatory compliance and managing operational risk.
  • The position involves overseeing daily banking operations, developing and implementing strategic initiatives, and providing expert advisory to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational policies, systems, and controls to improve efficiency and mitigate risks
  • Oversee daily banking operations, including payments, settlements, account services, and customer service
  • Receive and disburse local currencies for approved transactions, accurately counting, verifying, and recording all cash transactions
  • Handle deposits in line with CBN guidelines and internal policies
  • Maintain a daily cash register, submit transaction summaries, and reconcile cash balances
  • Provide excellent customer service, resolving complaints and promoting products and services
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Provide best practice solutions to business problems and support evolving business needs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage operational risk
  • Lead and coach operations teams to establish a performance-driven culture
  • Implement continuous service and customer experience monitoring systems
  • Build valued relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Certifications in operations management or related areas are a plus
  • 3 years experience in Fintech operations, Banking and Payment, knowledge of fintech products and services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in financial operations management, risk management, and compliance
  • Experience in Business Analysis and designs
  • IT experience is a plus
