Job Title: Optometrist

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using advanced diagnostic equipment. 
• Diagnose and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts etc 
• Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring optimal vision correction and patient comfort. 
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries. 
• You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader.  
• Excellent people skills, business acumen, and exemplary work ethics. 
• Participate in community outreach programs and health fairs to promote eye health awareness. 
• Your goal is to secure the functionality of our clinic to drive extensive and sustainable growth. 
• Offer vision therapy and other treatments to improve visual skills and processing. 
• Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options. 
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. 
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry and eye care practices. 
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver integrated patient care. 

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school
• Valid optometry license
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Previous experience in leading or managing a team.
• 3 - 5 years of clinical experience as an Optometrist
• Proficiency in using basic and advanced diagnostic tools
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
