The Oyo State Health Insurance Scheme is a scheme set up and subsidized by the government of Oyo State to provide qualitative and affordable healthcare to citizens of the state who subscribe to the scheme. The Scheme is managed by NHIS accredited Health Management Organisations (HMOs). First Eudaimon Limited is a consultant to the state government charged with responsibilities on certain aspects of the scheme.


The scheme is being introduced in phases in the state with the first phase being limited to twelve local governments as follows Atisbo, lbadan North, lbadan South-West, Ibarapa East, ldo, Irepo, Kajola, Lagelu, Ogbomoso South, Oluyole, Oyo East and Surulere. Both private and public facilities have been appointed as healthcare providers for the Scheme. The scheme is inviting applications from candidates qualified to serve as Medical Officers to man the government Primary Healthcare Centers in the given LGAs that have been appointed as primary healthcare providers to the scheme.

Qualifications and Experience

• MBBS from a recognized Medical School (2) Current Practice License issued by the Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria
• Minimum of 5years post-NYSC experience
