Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced Procurement Specialist to help us keep growing. If you're hard-working and dedicated, our company is an ideal place to get ahead.

Responsibilities

Identify suppliers of goods and services
Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods
Execution of Procurement team activities in line with department-related procedures, policies, templates, tools, etc. for the organization.
Ensuring compliance with Client and Company’s needs, Statutory Policies and Regulations.
Generate Procurement Progress reports, expediting reports, and any other reports as and when required. Filing and Maintenance of Procurement and Sourcing records.
Ensure Vendors and Subcontractors are paid on time.
To promptly follow up with vendors and ensure business contacts are up-to-date and relationships properly managed.
Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders
Analyse invoices to ensure the accuracy of goods delivered
Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive
Work closely with the projects team to understand the details of procurement requirements

Requirements

Candidates should possess B.Sc Degrees
Must have an accounting background
Must have at least 5 years of experience with leadership skills
Good knowledge of preparing required procurement reports to the management
Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Impeccable negotiation and problem-solving skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport-building
Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects.
Demonstrated good computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications.Knowledge of the usage of ERP packages is an added advantage
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality
Additional certification in the field of procurement desired
