Job Title: Project & Asset Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Project & Asset Officer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction and infrastructure projects while ensuring effective asset management across all phases.
• The role involves reviewing technical drawings, managing contractors, conducting site inspections, tracking project performance, and maintaining an accurate asset register.
• The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with organizational and communication skills to deliver projects on time, within scope, and in compliance with quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction and infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
• Review and interpret architectural and MEP drawings
• Conduct site meetings, inspections and monitor construction progress
• Vet and manage contractors and consultants
• Track, document, register, and tag all physical assets
• Maintain and update the asset register regularly
• Identify and resolve asset-related issues
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and consultants to ensure compliance
• Integrate sustainability principles across all project phases - from design to execution and post-completion
• Participate in tender evaluations with Quantity Surveyors
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Ensure project execution aligns with scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards
• Engage stakeholders and ensure timely project communication. Collaborate on creating and updating project schedules

Job Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project
• Project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP)
• Relevant experience on retail station projects.
• 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in project coordination or construction management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), AutoCAD and Revit is required
• Experience with Asset Inventory Management
