We are recruiting to fill the position below:       Job Title: Assistant Manager - Engineering Location: Rivers Task And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the effective design effort.
  • Establish best practices in Engineering in Norfin Offshore Shipyard GTD, including quality system, technical codes and standards.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with criteria, specifications and standards required.
  • Review design results to ensure that Engineering has incorporated the contract requirements, as well as industry standards and best practices.
  • Allocate tasks between disciplines, and to successfully manage inter-discipline interfaces.
  • Review and approve the engineering schedule and monitor integration of the engineering schedule into the overall project schedule.
  • Manage the technical communication.
  • Check technical accuracy of work.
  • Develop a scope of work, with agreement from Client, Proposals Manager, to define budget, overall schedule and CTRs.
  • Establish a project specific organization for the Engineering where required.
  • Ensure that personnel are fully updated on their individual function and responsibilities.
  • Liaise with Tender Manager on commercial elements of tender, namely each of the CAPEX and OPEX cost elements for the commercial proposal for input to the financial analyst.
  • Ensure that the strategic commercial elements for the tender are addressed in the Engineering.
  • Establish a document control system, including client & contractor documentation and specifically a system for tracking and addressing client comments.
Requirements Education:
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture or any other relevant disciplines
Experience:
  • Relevant experience of minimum 3 years in supervisory position in engineering or Ship Building or workshop fabrication organization.
  • The Engineering Manager shall have sufficient cross-discipline technical knowledge and experience in order to allocate tasks between disciplines, and to successfully manage inter-discipline interfaces.
  • Have prior working experience in offshore/onshore engineering or processing projects.
  • Understanding of international codes and standards particularly IGC/ IGF, SIGTTO, OCIMF and Class requirements with respect to Ship building applications.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
    Job Title: QA Assistant Manager Location: Akwa Ibom Job Responsibilities
  • Enforce an effective QA program, which follows the guidelines of the company QA Manuals, processes, and customer requirements.
  • Must Possess knowledge of and implementing of; welding methodology plan, Project specified WPS, Inspection and Test Plan and Hydro Test Plan.
  • Report periodically direct to Management on performance relating to quality processes, within the projects and the shipyard
  • Managing and planning the inspection activities in production, and resource planning for carrying out QA and QC activities, including NDT, Welding inspections; inspection test procedures.
  • Monitoring the quality standards of yard and contractors; and the main liaison throughout projects in terms of quality, for both internal and external parties.
  • To identify and analyze any quality procedural or product issues, and providing corrective action plans for parties to work on.
  • Acting as the main champion for continuous improvement, and spearheading process improvements within the organization.
  • Keeping track on the quality standards in the shipyard, and ensure compliance and preparedness for internal and external audits.
  • Improving quality assurance processes and practices. Involved in the recruitment and mentoring of QA Engineers.
  • Overseeing and coordinating the investigation of Customer Complaints and Non-conformities.
  • Interfaces with customer representatives in matters pertaining to quality for assigned tasks.
  • Prepare product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Develop and report on Quality Key Performance Indicators.
  • Liaise with the customer and classification societies on all quality issues.
  • Ensure the implementation of project Quality Plans Requirements
Requirements Qualification:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture or any other relevant disciplines
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas / Marine / Offshore industry.
  • Able to establish quality standards by understanding Class requirements, Customer requirements and internal Shipyard workmanship standards.
  • Able to ensure ISO 9000 quality management system is maintained throughout company including internal audit program.
    Job Title: QA Manager Location: Akwa Ibom Job Description
  • Preparing quality data collection, analysis and progress reports.
  • Performing quality audits on shipyard's quality system as and when required.
  • Representing the shipyard ‎to liaise with Class, Owner reps and regulatory bodies for acceptance of inspection, tests and trials.
  • Managing the interests of various stakeholders on quality matters.
  • You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality plans, procedures and processes in the construction of specialised aluminium high-speed vessels.
  • Must Possess knowledge of and implementing of; welding methodology plan, Project specified WPS, Inspection and Test Plan and Hydro Test Plan.
  • Formulating, implementing and managing project quality control plans, acceptance criteria and protocols.
  • Setting up and executing quality control audits at planned stages to ensure products and services meet the contract specifications and shipyard's quality standards.
Requirements Education:
  • Master's Degree or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture or any other relevant disciplines
Experience:
