St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is a 64 bed hospital located in Orangeade off New Ife road Ibadan. St Dominic Catholic Hospital is the vision of Dominican Sisters of St Catherine of Siena (Italy). We offer various medical services such as: General medicine, internal medicine, O & G, Laboratory, Radiology, to mention just a few. The hospital is run in collaboration with foreign partners. We are registered and licensed by the Corporate Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Health. Also, we are accredited by the NHIS as both primary and secondary health care providers.

Job Title: Registered Nurse / Midwife

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Description 

• We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse Midwife resident in ibadan to join our healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse Midwife, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. You will work collaboratively with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for women during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Conduct prenatal and postnatal examinations
• Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Provide education and support to women and their families on pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting
• Take/Assist with deliveries and perform midwifery procedures as needed
• Stay current with evidence-based practice and professional development

Requirements

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse Midwife with the relevant professional body
• Bachelor's degree in Midwifery or a related field
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse Midwife
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
