Job Title: Senior Technician (Caster Fitter)
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Jobs Responsibilities

• Inspection of ladle lining condition after each heat.
• Responsible for Fixing of slide gate & ladle nozzles for Carrying heats from Furnaces and partial repairing of equipment’s. To maintain the Ladle refractory records on daily basis.
• To ensure 100% free opening of Ladle at CCM without lancing.
• To ensure proper liquid material flow from ladle to tundish during billet casting.
• Responsible for Checking oil and pressure to maintained of hydraulic power pack to avoid failures.
• To maintain the record of minor or routine maintenance and repair jobs.
• To maintain good housekeeping of respective areas & to ensure the use of PPE including all subordinates.
• To achieve ladle lining life and refractory life as per standard & maintain the record on daily basis.
• Responsible for proper cleaning of fix nozzle, slight gate, collector nozzle by lancing & cleaning of Slag from ladle in each heat after cast.
• Responsible for damage of slide gate machine if any leakage of liquid metal after pouring to ladle.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years work experience exp.
• In the Respective field in Steel Melting Shop
• Experience in Ladle readiness for Continuous Caster Machine (CCM)
• Academic qualification: ITI, Trade Test in Mechanical

Salary
N350,000 - N500,000 monthly.
