Job Overview

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support our production operations.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in industrial automation, electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, and maintenance activities within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Siemens PLCs, drives, and industrial automation systems.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, target-based, and breakdown maintenance across production machines.
  • Maintain and repair various motors including AC, DC, and SEMO motors, as well as cranes and forklifts.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and instrumentation components such as:
    • PLCs & drives
    • Temperature & pressure transmitters
    • Heaters, motors & encoders
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Sensors and automation devices
  • Ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime through efficient maintenance practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, and process optimization.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and shift reports.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. / B.Tech. / HND in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 3 – 5 years hands-on experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment (mandatory).
  • Solid troubleshooting, fault-finding, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently across shift operations with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
  • Strong knowledge of Siemens PLCs, industrial drives, and control systems.
  • Proven ability in maintaining motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 / month
