Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Store Officer to join our mining operations in Kaduna.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficient inventory management, accurate record-keeping, and ensuring proper handling and storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
• You will play a critical role in maintaining an uninterrupted supply of items to support mining activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment according to company procedures.
• Maintain accurate stock records and documentation using ERP or inventory management systems.
• Issue materials and tools to departments based on requisitions and ensure proper authorization.
• Track the movement of goods and maintain bin cards and ledger books.
• Assist in loading/unloading materials and proper arrangement of stock.
• Liaise with procurement, production, and finance departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the store area at all times.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate timely reordering to avoid stockouts.
• Conduct periodic stock audits and reconciliation reports.
• Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and safe storage of all items in compliance with HSE standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in Store Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of safety practices in material handling.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• 3 - 5 years of proven experience as a Store Officer, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and storekeeping procedures.
• Familiarity with ERP software or inventory tracking tools (e.g., SAP, Tally, or similar systems).
