We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Risk Information Security Manager
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- To Provide operational and day-to-day oversight of the 24x7 Security Operations Event Analysis team.
- To perform integral role in the end-to-end incident management
lifecycle, including preparation, detection and analysis, containment,
eradication, and recovery, and post-incident activity, as appropriate.
- To continually analyze security events to identify trends and create new triggers to enhance detection capabilities.
- To serve as a local point of contact for security matters and datacenter inquiries
- To assist with the performance of risk assessments.
- To stay abreast of emerging trends within the IT Audit, Compliance and Security Industry
- To attend and contribute to monthly control meetings with IT
- To perform a variety of audits as outlined in the annual audit plan
- To provide guidance in the creation and maintenance of Standard
Operating Procedures, Incident Management Playbooks, and other relevant
documentation.
- To drive and influence process improvements to enhance incident response capabilities.
- To track operational metrics to provide and communicate to leadership.
- To Identify development opportunities to ensure that the staff
has the skills required to identify and r Coordinate and travel to
datacenters in Europe for customer audits and pre-sales engagements.
- To track and review monthly evidence submissions for the completion of quarterly audits.
- To assist with the creation and publishing of metrics for security controls.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Prior experience working in Computer Incident Response Team
(CSIRT), Computer Security Incident Response Centre (CSIRC), or Security
Operations Centre (SOC).
- Minimum of B.Sc degree in Information Technology, computer science or related field
- Should have strong practical & theoretical understanding of
security strategies and technologies including secure global network
design, remote computing, desktop and server hardening, Compliance
Auditing, Secure Software Development, Software Auditing, Penetration
Testing and Security Monitoring.
- Can describe key aspects of strategic system and technology development plans.
- Experienced with consulting on security build guides, tools and configurations.
- Has a grasp of emerging security technologies.
- Current knowledge of emerging threats, risks, and
vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies used at large, complex
enterprises to defend and protect.
- Familiarity with various network and host-based security
applications and tools to detect, contain, and respond to security
events (i.e. anti-virus, intrusion prevention/intrusion detection, web
proxies, etc.).
- Knows what should be communicated, when and to whom.
- Should have strong knowledge of information security frameworks and standards and their implementation.
- Should understand the importance of effective technical documentation in identifying and managing IT security risks.
- Should have strong understanding of the security mechanisms
associated with Windows or UNIX operating systems, mobile platforms,
switched networks, applications and databases.
- Have demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
- Experience in creating innovative solutions and responding to information security incidents a strong plus.
