Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Description

  • Identifying areas for process improvement and cost reduction within the supply chain.
  • Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and reliable sources of materials or services.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues or discrepancies.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by identifying data quality issues and working closely with IT and Operations teams to address them.
  • Coordinating the movement of goods, both inbound and outbound, to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics, and the financial services domain
  • Collecting and analyzing data related to supply chain performance, such as lead times, order fulfilment rates, and cost metrics.
  • Generating reports and providing insights to management for decision-making.
  • Gathering, analysing, and interpreting data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to agent banking operations, customer behavior, and market dynamics.
  • Analysing demand forecasts and inventory levels to develop procurement plans.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align inventory and distribution strategies.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant metrics to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Sales, and Product Management, to understand business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements, service enhancements, and revenue optimization.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of agent network performance, transactional data, customer segmentation, and channel effectiveness to identify growth opportunities and provide actionable insights.

Job Specification

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Understanding agent banking operations, financial services, and relevant industry trends is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Specialist or similar role, preferably in the financial services or banking industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Excel or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and database concepts.
  • Familiarity with data manipulation languages and statistical analysis tools.
