Job Title: Technical Services Manager

Location: Hong, Adamawa
Job Type: Full-time

Summary

  • The Key Purpose of this role is to take the Strategic lead for the Technical Services Domain in the Brewery and to lead related Strategic Initiatives in the Brewery, it also entails ensuring Corporate Governance for equipment and system integrity through the application of and adherence to relevant Standards and Legislation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Safety standards and guidelines and drive a safety culture to ensure safety in the work environment
  • Use effective Loss and Waste analysis to identify gaps in the Plant Maintenance, BTS & E&F system vs VPO. Drive actions to close the gaps
  • Achieve ZBB commitments for E&F Department & ZBB Maintenance USD/hl for Plant
  • Lead the ZBB Maintenance Budgeting process for the Plant
  • Manage Engineering Stores inventory to optimize Working Capital
  • Manage Engineering Stores, Site Maintenance, Condition Monitoring, Control and Automation infrastructure
  • Identify and develop VA initiatives for future VA commitments and drive and monitor current year committed VA initiatives
  • Drive specific blocks within the Maintenance & Environmental Pillar D + N
  • Maintenance Pillar Owner for the Plant
  • Achieve VA and VIC commitments for the Plant in terms of Water, Energy, CO2 recovery efficiency and CO2 usage. Achieve VA and VIC for the Utilities Department
  • Manage the Utilities Area, internal water treatment, Effluent treatment and water recovery technologies, site air, electricity, CO2, Refrigeration and steam generation and reticulation. Manage Water downstream of Reservoir including treatment & upstream
  • Attend the Plant's routine meetings according to the VPO MCRS and TOR's.
  • Lead the Brewery of the future projects and technological upgrades & migrations
  • Interface with appropriate Local government authorities to ensure compliance to statutory policies with respect to Utilities Plant
  • Plan and execute the actions required to comply with the applicable, local, state and municipality laws
  • Lead, coach and train team members
  • Ensure continuous improvement in engagement of people in the Plant.
  • Manage Safety & 5S inside the department and across the plant’s maintenance facilities
  • Co-ordinate and assure Tracking and Monitoring of E&F information for the Plant and to the Zone is correct and timeously submitted.
  • Organize, implement and execute VPO in Area
  • Raise the training and development needs (through CAP & SKAP) of your team and ensure their execution
  • Ensure targeted GOPS compliance % is achieved to glide path.
  • Organize, implement and execute VPO in Area, and timely update VPO reports as required
  • Manage the Plant and Department indicators to achieve target
  • Manage delivery of the Capex project portfolio from scoping, planning, execution, monitoring & control to closeout
  • Ensure a 3 year plan exists for Maintenance and replacement of obsolete C&A Infrastructure and Plant Equipment across Sites

Minimum Requirements

  • Chemical/Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ work experience
  • Energetic, Self driven and willing to work in different shift patterns based on demand
  • Government Certificate Competency (Factories)
