Job Title: NDT Level 2 Technician

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Perform all the NDT tasks on the aircraft wheels, brakes and structures in accordance with OEM approved documentation and in compliance with Air Peace and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment.
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
  • Perform specialized inspections.
  • Instruct and supervise Others.
  • Developing processes and procedures to support quality assurance activities and rigorous testing
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection and ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Organize and report test results.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Formal NDT training hours.
  • At least 5 years' experience in Aerospace NDT inspection as Level 2 (ET, MT, PT & UT).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals to perform duties.
  • Must have sufficient technical knowledge and skills, to be qualified to set up and calibrate equipment; and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Should be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods per his/her qualification and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and NDT Level 1 personnel.
  • Should be able to organize and report the results of NDT tests.
  • Must have good computer skills in Microsoft applications.
  • Good Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge of Aviation Legislation/Regulations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Human factors application.
  • Leadership Experience.
  • Must be physically fit.

  • Achieve 95% of Target required on components and structures
  • Quality of Component and Equipment Maintenance (MTBF)
