Job Title: Senior Insurance Sales Agent

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • We are seeking a results-driven Senior Insurance Sales Agent to grow our insurance portfolio, manage key client relationships, and drive revenue through the sale of life, health, motor, and general insurance products.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong sales acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of insurance products and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new individual and corporate clients.
  • Promote and sell insurance products tailored to clients’ risk profiles and financial goals.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market presence.

Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Support, guide, and mentor junior insurance sales agents.
  • Share best practices and contribute to sales strategy development.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with insurance regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate client records and sales reports.
  • Participate in audits, training, and compliance reviews as required.

Client Advisory & Relationship Management:

  • Provide professional advice on insurance coverage, benefits, and claims processes.
  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure retention and renewals.
  • Handle client inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally.

Portfolio & Revenue Management:

  • Manage and grow an assigned insurance portfolio.
  • Ensure timely policy renewals and premium collections.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Sales revenue growth
  • Client acquisition and retention rate
  • Policy renewal rate
  • Customer satisfaction score
  • Compliance and documentation accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and regulatory frameworks.
  • 5–10 years experience in insurance sales, with proven performance.
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., CIIN, CII, or equivalent) is an advantage.
