We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Tower Operator - FMN Infrastructure Apapa Bulk Terminal

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Purpose

• Operate and coordinate the Marine Tower and unloader to safely and efficiently discharge, load, and transfer company cargo at ABTFZE, in full compliance with operational procedures and safety standards.

The Job

• Operate the Marine Tower and unloader in the discharging/Loading of company and third-party cargo under the supervision of the Dockside Operations Supervisor to meet the company’s daily discharge targets.
• Report all repair or maintenance needs of the Marine Tower and unloader to the Dockside Operations Supervisor after each operation to ensure Efficient operation.
• Liaise with Dock labour to ensure smooth and proper cargo shifting and trimming operations inside vessel holds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
• NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical or related discipline.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ cognate experience in a similar role.

The Person Must Have:

• Have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with vessel crews, marine pilots, port authorities, and internal operations teams.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of marine operations, navigation procedures, safety regulations, and port traffic management systems.
• Be proficient in the use of marine communication.
• Possess strong situational awareness and monitoring skills to track vessel movements, berthing schedules, and marine traffic in real time.
