Job Title: Treasury & Investment Officer

Job Description

• The Treasury & Investment Officer plays a crucial role in managing the organization's financial assets and liabilities, ensuring effective liquidity management, and optimizing investment strategies.

Responsibilities
Cash Management:

• Monitor daily cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
• Forecast cash requirements and manage short-term investments.

Investment Strategy:

• Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Analyze market trends and economic conditions to inform investment decisions.

Risk Management:

• Identify and assess financial risks related to investments and funding.
• Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks, including currency, interest rate, and credit risks.

Strategic Planning:

• Contributes to the organization’s financial planning and strategic initiatives.
• Advises on funding strategies and financial structures for projects and investments.

Investment Operations:

• Supports the management of the subsidiary company’s investment portfolio, executes investment transactions, monitors and analyzes investment performance, and follows market and economic trends that may impact the business.

Portfolio Management:

• Oversee the organization’s investment portfolio, ensuring diversification and alignment with risk tolerance.
• Regularly review and rebalance the portfolio as needed.

Reporting and Compliance:

• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Liaise with banks, investment managers, and other financial institutions.
• Maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (ACA, ACCA) will be added advantage
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• At least 5 years proven experience in treasury management, investment analysis, or financial management.
