Kelina Hospital is an Endoscopic and Laser Surgery Specialist hospital situated at 3rd Avenue, by 34 Crescent, Gwarinpa, Abuja-FCT, Nigeria.

Kelina Hospital is a surgical hospital well established in Minimally Invasive Surgery such as Laser Lithotripsy for Kidney Stones, Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate, Laparoscopic Surgery in General Surgery, Urology, Gynaeology among others.

We are recruiting to fill the positions of:

 

 

Job Title: Nurse Anaesthetist

Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja
Employment Type: Full time

Job Description
The Nurse Anaesthetist will be responsible for the following, amongst others:

  • Anaesthetic clerking and review of patients going for surgery.
  • Daily check of functionality of each equipment used for anaesthesia.
  • Strict compliance with International standard anaesthetic checklist in bringing patients to theatre and taking patients to the ward after theatre.
  • Proper documentation of all anaesthetic activities done in the theatre, including pre- operative, intra-operative and post-operative findings.
  • Intra-operative monitoring of anaesthesized patients.
  • Immediate post-operative care of the patients.
  • Anaesthetic supplies.
  • Equipment for resuscitation of patients in the hospital and also in the ambulance.
  • Documentation of all medications used in the theatre.
  • Detailed documentation of anaesthetic techniques and procedures for each patient.

Qualification

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council with a minimum of 1 year work experience.
  • Certification as registered Nurse Anaesthetist
  • Experience on the job and in various techniques of anaesthesia commensurate with qualification.
  • Candidates must be resident in Abuja or show evidence that they are familiar with the environment and have or could find accommodation nearby the hospital.

Remuneration

  • N2,400,000 - N3,600,000 annually

 

 

 

Job Title: Peri-operative Nurse

Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja
Employment Type: Full time

Responsibilities

  • Ensure availability of all supplies needed for the operation
  • Prepare all sterile materials needed in the operating theatre and hospital.
  • Assume responsibility for keeping the operating room standards.
  • Assist all the Surgeons during procedures.
  • Enforce safety standards and precautions amongst all theatre staff
  • Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned

Qualification

  • Minimum qualification of RN, RM and Post-basic Qualification in Peri-operative Nursing.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in Peri-operative Nursing.
  • Candidates must be resident in Abuja or show evidence that they are familiar with Abuja environment and could take care of their own accommodation nearby the hospital.

Remuneration

  • N1,800,000 - N3,000,000 annually

 

 

Job Title: Chef

Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja
Employment Type: Full time

Job Description
The Chef shall be expected to perform the following jobs on behalf of the hospital:

  • Take responsibility for all catering services for both staff, visitors and patients.
  • Prepare meals to nutritional expectations in a hygienic environment.
  • Supply and deliver fresh and wholesome continental and national dishes (in the canteen, and/or as takeout/packed meals)as well as drinks (beverages and other drinks) to go with meals.
  • Provide off-menu meals, due to varying dietary/medical restrictions.
  • Provide catering services for functions/meetings at the hospital, as may be required.
  • Ensure food production quality and quantity standards are met and are sufficient to meet expected need.
  • Make substitutions and changes to menus as required, work with dietitians and other health professionals to develop quality meals within the constraints of special dietary restrictions.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen space at all times.
  • Ensure timely delivery of meals.
  • Ensure periodic reconciliation of meals served.
  • Serve the meals to the wards and dining facilities in the Hospital.

Qualification

  • Candidates should possess an OND qualification with a minimum of 1 year work experience.

Terms of Contract

  • Salary and other conditions of service will be negotiable and comparable to or better than what obtains in similar institutions.
