Vacancy For Production Manager at Velox Integrated Rice Company

Velox Integrated Rice Company (VIRCO) is an agribusiness firm focused on processing, packaging, and distribution of rice in Nigeria. Our passion lies in cheering the Nigerian community to eat locally-grown rice in a bid to eat fresh and healthy. We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Production Manager Location: Abuja Job Summary
  • Plan, coordinate and control all manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure products are produced efficiently (ensure the correct amount of raw material is produced at the right level and quality.)
  • Responsible for the technical management, supervision and control of the milling machines and machinist.
Job Description
  • Prepare and submit status report for production progress, material inventories, and materials used.
  • Ensures that health and safety regulations are met
  • Determine quality control standards
  • Monitor product standards and implement quality control program
  • Review performance of all production staff.
  • Supervise and motivate the production team.
  • Planning and organizing production schedules.
  • Oversee production processes
  • Organize repairs and routine maintenance of production equipment
  • Liaise with buyers, marketing and sales staff
  • Suggest relevant training.
  • Provide documentation and information to account and the management
  • Maintain files, such as maintenance records, bills of loading, or cost reports.
  • Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences, and personnel schedules (such as purchase, maintenance, or repair, and over time).
Requirement and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering only. Membership with an engineering professional body is a plus or three years apprentice or vocational training.
  • Previous work experience in any Agro processing industry is an added advantage.
  • Able to handle mechanical issues and minimum of two years’ experience in welding and electrical.
  • Applicant must not be older than 34 years old.
