A reputable Monitoring & Evaluation consulting firm based in Abuja, which is a one-stop-shop for all data collection, field survey, applied research, and project management needs, requires the services of highly competent candidates for full-time employment in the position below:     Job Title: Data Officer Location: Abuja Duties & Responsibilities The successful candidates will be required to perform the following responsibilities:

• Updating programmed questionnaires, the related data codebook and variable lists (data dictionaries) when modifications are made to data collection processes
• Producing cleaned electronic dataset and all relevant and required metadata
• Analyses of cleaned dataset using Stata or SPSS and exporting the results of analysis to Microsoft Excel
• Understanding all project procedures, paying close attention to detail and efficient organisation, and responding to all queries from clients.
• Development, organisation and implementation of data quality control measures for projects
• Fine-tuning data collection tools, monitoring the quality of collected data, and organising the data management process
• Conducting daily data validation and inconsistency checks
• Programming questionnaires using CAPI programming (SurveyCTO, ODK, CS PRO, KOBO Form etc.) with emphasis on data coding standards and skip patterns

Qualifications Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in any relevant field including Statistics, Population Studies, Computer Science, Public Health, Monitoring & Evaluation and Data Management related field with additional data management training. A Master's Degree shall be an advantage
• At least 5 years experience in data analyses, reporting and use of information for program planning and management
• Working knowledge of SPSS or Stata statistical package
• Working knowledge of CAPI programming (SurveyCTO, ODK, CS.PRO and KOBO Form etc.).

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience in database development
• Work experience with Nigeria-based research institutions or international development agencies
