Job Title: Water Treatment Plant Operator

Location: Plateau
Employment Type: Full-time

Our ideal candidate

• Is expected to ensure safe and reliable operation of the entire KCSWP water treatment plant to produce clean and safe potable water for consumption.
• This entails operating, monitoring, maintaining production equipment in the plant to treat water according to regulatory standards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and Monitoring Water Production Equipment: Operating and monitoring treatment machines, pumps, filters, tanks, and other treatment equipment from raw to dispensing treated water. 
• Maintaining Equipment: Performing routine maintenance and the ability to troubleshoot swiftly whenever emergencies occur during operations and get operations back on course is a major PLUS
• Performing Tests: Conducting appropriate tests and keeping a record of results to ensure water quality meets regulatory standards.
• Maintains and adheres strictly to standard hygienic conditions of the production process, facility and surroundings.
• Collaboration and Communication: Able to collaborate with other operators, engineers, and supervisors to optimize processes and communicate operational status to management. 
• Ensure compliance with Company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and PROMPT processing and delivery of orders to customers.
• Maintain inventory of production materials, products, and equipment to ensure smooth plant and business operations.
• Data Recording and Reports: Keeping accurate operational data/records, status reports, and maintaining records in line with standard operations and compliance. 

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or Degree in a relevant field (engineering, sciences) or relevant working experience in the field.
• Knowledge of water treatment principles, methods, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Water Treatment Operator Certification (optional).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in water treatment/management or a similar field.
