Speech and Language Therapist Duties & Responsibilities

The role and function of a Speech and Language Therapist includes the following duties and responsibilities:

Undertaking patient assessments
Maintaining records and case notes
Liaising with doctors, physiotherapists, teachers and family members and carers
Performing controlled therapy sessions with individuals, groups and/or families.
Planning and providing appropriate treatment
Giving advice and support to patients, family members and teachers
Writing reports
