Teller Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

The following common skills and qualifications are required of a Teller:

A High School diploma or equivalent.
X years of experience as a Bank Teller or similar role
X years of experience in banking or similar industry
Strong math skills and attention to detail.
Basic PC knowledge
Experience with electronic equipment such as cash drawers, receipt validators and money counters
Strong communication and time management skills
Customer satisfaction-oriented
Attention to detail and mathematical skills
Excellent sales skills
