Job Title: Laboratory Officer
Location: Kaduna
Job Description
- The Laboratory Services Officer will provide technical
leadership in ensuring delivery of high quality laboratory services
required for HIV/AIDS care and treatment services at supported
facilities.
- Assist with planning and coordinating laboratory activities at
sites in designated states. Ensure effective biosafety management and
implement an efficient sample referral mechanism.
- Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Laboratory
logistics system across health facilities in the designated state.
- Provide technical support in the institution and monitoring of Quality Management System and Laboratory Information System.
- Train site laboratory staff on use of Standard Operating Procedures, job aids, log books, referral forms, etc.
- Ensure and monitor efficient documentation of laboratory results at designated sites.
- Monitor and report on quality management/quality assurance activities.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or its equivalent.
- Valid Certificate to practice as Medical Laboratory Scientist is mandatory.
- At least 5 years’ post NYSC cognate experience.
- Knowledge and experience in the design, implementation and management of laboratory services in HIV/AIDS program.
- Experience in Laboratory Information Systems and at least medium level computer skill.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access preferred.
- Registration with the Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.
- Experience in epidemiological survey and/or molecular diagnosis will be an added advantage.

Job Description
- Incumbent provides reliable and secure driving services to the project team.
- Ensures proper use of vehicle and ensures day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehide.
- Transports program items with due regard. to time schedules.
- Logs official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc.
- Maintain assigned office vehicle, checks oils, water, battery,
brakes, tires, etc., performs minor repairs, arranges for other repairs
and ensures that vehicle is kept clean.

Job Title: Pharmacy & Logistics Associate
Location: Benue
Job Description
- Incumbent will establish a viable system to ensure a constant
supply of high quality, affordable, safe and effective essential drugs
and medical supplies to the supported sites.
- The core functions of this position will be storage and
distribution of drugs and medical supplies for the health facilities and
hospitals under the CIHP program.
- The key task of the Pharmacy Associate is to strengthen systems
for warehousing and distribution as well as quality assurance and
increase the capacity of the facility staff working in these
departments.
- The incumbent will assist and advise CIHP management in all
pharmaceutical related matters including annual planning, budgeting and
reporting.
- The position will also assist with the development of
computerization of inventory control and distribution and quality
control system.

- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, At least 3 years’ experience working as a hospital based pharmacist.

Job Title: Laboratory Associate

Job Description
- H/She provides technical support in the planning and
implementation of high quality laboratory services required for HIVIAIDS
care and treatment services, reproductive health, TB and other related
and emerging chronic/contagious diseases under the supervision of the
State Program Manager.
- With technical oversight from the Laboratory Services Officer
the incumbent will provide support to the design, planning and
implementation of laboratory services according to national and
international standards and develop guidelines, tools, SOPs and
recommendations related to implementation, monitoring laboratory total
quality management at CIHP supported sites and facilities

Job Title: Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Associate

Job Title: Store Associate

Job Description
- Incumbent will be responsible for maintaining Stores in the state office as required.
- Assist to maintain warehousing of pharmaceutical, laboratory and
other healthcare commodities and equipment under ideal conditions and

Job Title: Strategic Information Associate

Job Descriptions
- Incumbent will assist in providing technical support in the
planning, implementation and review of Strategic Information activities
at supported health facilities, Development and refinement of Strategic
Information materials.
- Provide support in the development of a systematic procedure for Monthly patient monitoring and programmatic progress.
- Support routine data quality checks in all supported sites. Collect, collate and report all data tracked by the program.
- Support Data Clerks to verify and edit data to ensure compatibility with data entry system and procedural requirements.
- Mentor facility staff to ensure that the data entered into
hospital database are accurate, consistent and according to prescribed
format.

- Degree in Medical records, Statistics or any discipline in the social sciences.

Job Title: Prevention Service Manager

- The incumbent will provide support in developing and managing health programs that maximize results and impact.
- The successful candidate will provide leadership and assist in
the implementation of HIV Sexual Transmission Prevention (HIV STP) and

Job Title: Clinical Services Officer

Job Description
- The incumbent will provide technical leadership at the state and
work with a team of clinical and other CIHP technical staff to provide
support for health facility multidisciplinary HIV/AIDS care and
treatment teams, to strengthen the provision of quality HIV care,
support, and treatment including Adult and PaediatricART, TB-HIV, and
PMTCT services to PLHIV, including pregnant and postpartum HIV positive
women and their babies.
- The objective of this position is to strengthen the leadership
and the capacity of the supported facilities in coordination with all
stakeholders. to ensure access to quality HIV prevention, care and
treatment services for PLHIV; support the integration of HIV services
into existing services in the health sector, and strengthen the clinical
management of Tuberculosis, Malaria and other diseases.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
- Advanced degree in Nursing/Midwifery, Medicine, or Public health.
- Robust clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and antiretroviral treatment.
- Demonstrable experience in implementing HIV/AIDS prevention,
care and treatment programs, specifically Adult and Paediatric ART,
TB-HIV and PMTCT (5 years’ experience preferable).
- Excellent grasp of clinical issues and current literature in
HIV/AIDS management, including Adult and Paediatric ART, PMTCT, TB-HIV
collaboration and other emerging chronic public health diseases.
- Ability to work independently and with strong problem-solving
skills including the ability to foresee problems and initiate
appropriate action.

Job Title: Senior Laboratory Services Associate
Location: Abuja
Job Description
- The Senior Laboratory Services Associate will under the
supervision of the Senior Laboratory Officer provide technical support
to the program in the coordination of laboratory activities.
- Provide technical support for the implementation of the
Laboratory component of the TB/HIV program with particular focus on
molecular TB; across all supported facilities.
- Assist with the provision of technical assistance regarding the
implementation of the TB Proficiency Testing (PT) program and
institution of corrective action.

- Provide technical support to ensure biosafety management and infection control across supported health facilities.

Job Title: Adherence Associate

Job Description
- Incumbent works with the medical and case management teams to
provide clinical and case specific supervision and case management
services to dients and their families with treatment adherence issues
and/or unstable status related to disease management.
- Provide individual, family, and group adherence support and
education; provide technical assistance to case management staff
regarding disease and medication management.
- Ensure that patients enrolled are provided with comprehensive
health education and information about HIV(AIDS, STI, Positive Living
and ARV drugs.

Job Title: Senior Laboratory Officer
Location: Abuja
Job Description
- The Senior Laboratory Services Officer will provide technical
expertise and coordinate services needed to implement high quality
clinical laboratory services.
- He/she will provide support for the design, planning and
implementation of laboratory services across diagnostic and molecular
laboratories in accordance with national and international standards
while ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal
regulations.
- Monitor laboratory total quality management and provide

- Master’s Degree preferable.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of the current
principles and techniques surrounding the management of laboratory
services.
- Familiarity with standards and federal/state regulations
affecting the laboratory and laboratory practices within a hospital
environment.
- Excellent supervisory and team management skill.
- Experience in a clinical laboratory setting with particular
focus on molecular diagnosis, viral load determination, drug resistance
testing, genotyping and nucleic acid sequencing is a must.
- Working knowledge of public sector health system, donor agencies, NGOs and CBOs is required.
- Knowledge of regulatory agency standards.
- Registration with the Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.
