Chartered Accountant Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

The following common skills and qualifications are required of a Chartered Accountant:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Honor's Degree preferred.
  • Completion of Articles.
  • x years' post article experience.
  • Registration and qualification with accredited statutory body and association example ICAN, ACCA, CPA.
  • Fully compliant as a tax practitioner.
  • Filing of corporate tax returns.
  • Experience in providing financial advice.
  • Must be honest
  • Must be detail-oriented
