The secret ballot,  is a voting method in which a voter's choices in an election or a referendum are anonymous, forestalling attempts to influence the voter by intimidation, blackmailing, and potential vote buying. The system is one means of achieving the goal of political privacy.

The concept of universal suffrage, also known as general suffrage or common suffrage, consists of the right to vote of all adult citizens, regardless of property ownership, income, race, or ethnicity, subject only to minor exceptions.

 A political coalition or political alliance or political bloc is an agreement for cooperation between different political parties on common political agenda often for purposes of contesting an election to mutually benefit by collectively clearing election thresholds or otherwise benefiting from characteristics of the voting system or for government formation after elections.

A multi-party system is a system in which multiple political parties across the political spectrum run for national election, and all have the capacity to gain control of government offices, separately or in coalition.

The disadvantage of a one party system is that there is no check on the power of the Party. This inevitably leads to corruption and abuses of power. What's more, a one-party state cannot be maintained without secret police, repression, and suppression of the free flow of information. This can lead to a dictatorship, which is a form of government in which one person or a small group possesses absolute power without effective constitutional limitations.
