The aim of all pressure groups is to influence the people who actually have the power to make decisions. Pressure groups do not look for the power of political office for themselves, but do seek to influence the decisions made by those who do hold this political power.

The aim of political parties are;
1. To contest elections.
2. To form and run government. (the ultimate aim)
3. To shape public opinions.
4. To criticise the policies and regulations of opposition

Returning officer is the official in each constituency or electorate who conducts an election and announces the result.

Citizenship by registration;The following persons are eligible to become citizens through registration:
A foreign woman who marries a citizen of Nigeria. Person who is of adult age (17), born outside Nigeria, any of whose grandparents is or was a citizen of Nigeria. A foreign child adopted by Nigerian parents.

Rule by decree is a style of governance allowing quick, unchallenged foundation of law by a single person or group, and is used primarily by dictators, absolute monarchs and military leaders. Rule by decree allows the ruler to arbitrarily edit law, without approval by a legislative assembly. In simple terms, decrees are federal laws made in a military regime, edicts are state laws in a military regime
