Job Title: Accountant

Role Overview

• The Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring that the company’s accounting processes align with best practices.
• This role is vital to ensuring the profitability and sustainability of our fish business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Track revenues, purchases (imported and local), operating expenses, and inventory costs.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors when necessary.
• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and vendor payments.
• Handle payroll, tax computations, and statutory remittances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• ICAN/ACCA certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 4 – 5 years accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, import, or perishable goods industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools).

Salary
N450,000 - N550,000 Monthly.
