Tax Administrator at Zamfara State Internal Revenue Service (ZIRS)

Zamfara State Internal Revenue Service (ZIRS) is the revenue generation agency in Zamfara charged with the mission to maximize revenue generation through effective tax administration, while providing quality services to taxpayers. We aim to create a fair and transparent tax system that promotes compliance, reduces tax evasion, and supports economic development in Zamfara State.

Job Title: Tax Administrator

Location: Zamfara

Requirements

• Minimum of HND/Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields from a recognized institution, with at least a Second Class Lower Division or its equivalent.
• Accounting, Economics, Taxation, or related fields
• Must possess good character and have no criminal record
• Must be medically fit (certified by a government hospital)
• Must have a valid Tax Identification Number (TIN) and be tax compliant
• Must provide a birth certificate or declaration of age.
• 0–3 years post-NYSC experience
• Must be a Zamfara State indigene
• Must be between 18–35 years (for entry-level positions)

Professional Certifications (Added Advantages):

• CITN, ICAN, ANAN, ACCA, or relevant certifications.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Leadership potential and initiative
• Attention to details and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Teamwork and collaboration abilities
