We are a leading and reputable indigenous non-governmental organization implementing a comprehensive family-focused HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment programe in partnership with the different tiers of the Government of Nigeria. We currently require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic professional to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant
Location: Abuja
Responsibilities

• The incumbent assist the Finance Manager, Operation to ensure the accurate keeping of all books of accounts for the project, including checking account banks reconciliation statement and all accounting records.
• Support in analyzing, developing and monitoring account/fiscal control procedures and programe budget including monitoring cash flows and requesting for fund transfer.

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Ability

• First Degree in Accounting, Finance or its recognized equivalent.
• 3 years post professional qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA or recognized equivalent).
• Proficient in the use of Accounting software, preferably Tally 9 ERP.
• At least 5 years work experience in financial management, accounting and administration, preferably with 2 years of NGO experience in a similar position in a CDC/USAID funded project.

Requirements

• Candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, computer application and Internet / Email.
• Significant amounts of travel may be involved.
• Commitment to an understanding or organisation's vision, value and principles including rights - based /gender approaches would be expected.
• Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills are essential.
