Job Title: Accountant / Tax Analyst

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are looking for an Accountant to help prepare, analyze, and review financial statements using accounting principles.


  • Reconcile the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
  • Complete analysis of the employee expenditures.
  • Manage income and expenditure accounts.
  • Generate the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.
  • Keep a check on the company’s finances based on the financial status.
  • File and remit taxes and other financial obligations.
  • Carryout payroll duties.
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Audit financial transactions and documents.
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information, pricing, customer information and other sensitive and information.
  • Maintain and manage all Procument activities.
  • Initiate and managefinancial and accounting software used by the company.
  • Manage all accounting transactions.
  • Prepare budget forecasts and publish financial statements in time.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely bank payments and deposit.

Educational Qualifications / Requirements / Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Accounting experience.
  • Must be female.
  • Previous experience with filing taxes returns.
  • Ability to multi-task; be detail-oriented and organized; follow through; and meet deadlines in a pressured situation.
  • Communicate effectively with other employees and develop good working relationships.
  • Effective presentationand reporting skills.
  • High energy with a hands-on approach to marketing.
  • Management skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • ICAN certification (not mandatory).
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially MS Excel; Accounting ERP systems; general accounting practices and financial management; financial statements.
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently and independently.
