Job Description

  • Are you looking to start your career in sales and business development?
  • Western Union is seeking a Junior Business Development Associate to support our local sales team while building a clear pathway for your professional growth into a full sales role across North and Anglophone West Africa. 
  • In this role, you will assist with monitoring sales activity and supporting internal business processes for the region.
  • This is an entry-level position designed to help you learn, grow, and eventually transition into a full sales role.

Role Responsibilities 

  • Support the sales team with administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth execution of business activities. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help achieve regional goals. 
  • Participate in training and shadowing opportunities to develop core sales and business development skills. 
  • Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and feedback to help track KPIs and performance. 
  • Identify and escalate process-related issues, following up to ensure timely resolution. 
  • Collect market and consumer insights to inform marketing and network development initiatives. 

Role Requirements 

  • Interest in building a career in sales and business development. 
  • Fluency in English (French is a plus). 
  • Previous experience in customer service or sales support is helpful but not required. 
  • International travel may be required. 
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required; PowerBI, Salesforce, or SharePoint are a plus).
