Job Title: Chef de Partie – Suya Grill
Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie (Suya Grill) to join our dynamic culinary team.
  • The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of West African grilling traditions, especially authentic Nigerian suya, and the ability to deliver consistent, flavourful, and well-presented dishes.
  • This position requires strong grilling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and grill meats, chicken, fish, and vegetables using traditional suya techniques.
  • Manage mise en place for the grill section and ensure readiness before each service.
  • Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times (HACCP standards).
  • Collaborate closely with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operation.
  • Assist in training junior staff and ensuring high kitchen discipline.
  • Report maintenance issues and assist with stock control and daily requisitions.
  • Maintain proper marination, spice mix consistency, and grilling temperature control.
  • Ensure all items are cooked to perfection and presented according to brand standards.
  • Monitor product quality, portion control, and minimize wastage.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Grill Chef or CDP in a busy restaurant or grill outlet.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional Nigerian suya preparation and grilling methods.
  • Strong sense of flavor, presentation, and consistency.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Skilled in open-flame, charcoal, or gas grilling.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure during peak hours.

Salary
N170,000 - N250,000 Monthly.
