Chief Security Officer (CSO) at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE)

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), Delta State, Nigeria was established in March, 2007 by the Federal Government of Nigeria as part of the initiative to build a specialized University to train highlevel manpower and relevant expertise for the Oil and Gas sector in Nigeria and worldwide.

FUPRE, as the first of its kind in Africa, is designed to be the premier international institution of choice with state-of-the-art facilities to provide for the petroleum and allied sectors, world-class education, training, research, consultancy and extension services.

Job Title: Chief Security Officer (CSO)

Responsibilities

• General supervision, investigation and administration of security in the University
• Training of security staff.
• Any other duty as may be assigned to him by the Vice-Chancellor from time to time.

Qualifications / Experience
Applicants must possess the followings:

• A good honours Degree in Criminology / Social Sciences from a recognized University.
• A retired Police officer or retired State Security Service (SSS) officer with Police background.
• Candidates must have completed the National Youth Service programme or have evidence of exemption/exclusion from the National Service.

Tenure and Conditions of Service

• The successful candidate shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years only on such terms and conditions applicable to Federal Universities in Nigeria and as may be determined by the University Governing Council.
